Job description

IT Managed Service Provider seeking skilled Help Desk/Mid-Level IT Support Technician. Our clients are small—to medium-sized businesses throughout the US.

Some on-site client visits are occasionally required.

Technician specifically wanted in the Tampa Bay Area.

We deal with 100+ businesses, all with varying needs for workstation/server setups, networking, cloud solutions, etc. All IT Infrastructure type work. This position will be dealing with a multitude of customers to assist employees with IT helpdesk issues and ensuring that their IT infrastructure is running optimally.

Only applicants with experience will be considered. The ability to research and study new IT technologies rapidly is a must. Applicants must be able to pick up basic work immediately and handle client needs. As long as the core skills are in place, our senior engineers provide more advanced training and assistance.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have good personal relations with customers and be able to calmly and collectively handle stressful customer IT situations and walk them through handlings, keeping them up-to-date on issues/outages while handling them.
  • Ability to multi-task, have good time management and prioritize multiple issues across different client companies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Apps for Business.
  • Proficient with e-mail setup, POP, IMAP, Exchange, Outlook.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting email delivery/routing.
  • Networking: Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and basic TCP/IP connectivity issues.
  • Hardware & Software: Diagnose desktop/laptop issues, printer configurations, and standard business applications.
  • Well versed in server/workstation backup solutions.
  • Familiar with and can troubleshoot issues with cybersecurity solutions such as Antivirus/EDR/Anti-Spam, etc.
  • Experienced and proficient in managing and troubleshooting Windows Server, Active Directory and Hyper-V.
  • Can execute Public DNS configurations.
  • The following is a Plus:
    • Previous MSP experience.
    • Experienced with setting up Hardware RAID configurations and troubleshooting them.
    • Skill and experience in and strong grasp of Layer 1-7 networking and troubleshooting network issues.
    • Able to implement more advanced firewall features such as Static Routes, WAN Failover, NAT Policies, Firewall Rules, etc.
    • Has experience in setting-up and troubleshooting business grade firewalls, switches, routers and APs.
    • Proficient at AD Group Policy setup.
