Job description

Work Location: In Office - REH Building, Salt Lake City UT

We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance for internal employees. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. 

An excellent Desktop Support Technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot physical computers, virtual computers, network, and printer issues
  • Answer help desk phone calls and emails, and provide excellent customer service
  • Installing and configuring software
  • Imaging and installing computers
  • Virus and malware remediation
  • Document procedures and keep current documents updated
  • Providing support across all channels, including phone, email, chat, and in-person
  • Providing on-call support, weekend rotations, and holiday coverage based on business needs
  • Some travel required from time to time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+
  • Network+
  • Security+
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an IT/Help desk support role required
  • Experience with Active Directory for onboarding accounts
  • Experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting business critical client-server applications on Windows desktop systems
  • Knowledge of setting up VPN, RDP and other remote technologies for desktops
  • Strong customer service skills, sense of urgency, and a proactive attitude
  • Experience with VMware VDI is a plus
