IT Deployment Specialist

This candidate may be located in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Waco, or Houston, Texas, or must be willing to relocate to one of these areas. WhiteWater will provide a relocation stipend.

Position Overview

WhiteWater Express Car Wash is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Deployment Specialist professional to join our growing team. Plan, coordinate, and execute IT deployments across new and existing locations. Installs, configures, and tests POS systems (DRB, ICS), networks, payment kiosks, and related hardware/software to ensure operational readiness. Provide advanced technical support for all IT systems and serve a liaison for cross‑department collaboration. Leads IT projects and repairs requiring on‑site presence or advanced skillset. This position reports to: IT Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute deployment plans for IT projects and in‑field support.
  • Install and configure POS, network devices, and peripherals.
  • Serve as liaison between the operations team, maintenance team, and vendors.
  • Provide technical documentation and post‑deployment support.
  • Serve as an escalation path for advanced troubleshooting and repair supporting the IT Support team and participate in the IT Support call queue when not in the field.
  • Service all IT systems; all POS Hardware/Software, Network infrastructure, Tunnel Controllers, Ground Loops, Cameras, Phones, Wireless, etc.
  • Provide training for the IT team and Operations team as needed.
  • Serve as in‑field tech support for IT Support team requiring advanced support or when unable to collaborate with the Maintenance team or Operations team for resolution.
  • Respond to wash down and equipment failures when requiring in‑field support.
  • Lead system upgrades, migrations, and system rollouts.
  • Document task completion and work orders as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR 5+ years of experience in an IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, POS systems, and advanced IT hardware/software.
  • Knowledge in controls systems, low voltage, networking and camera systems.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High travel requirement (estimated 85%).
