Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

Mileage Reimbursement: $0.76 per mile (applicable for travel between client facilities during the workday)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday

Contract Duration: 10 months with possibility to extend or migrate to other projects once completed.

Position Overview

We are seeking self-motivated, technically skilled IT Field Support Technicians to join a multi-site Zscaler Trusted Branch (ZTB)deployment project across Central Florida. Working in 3-person teams, technicians will perform site inventory checks, install ZTB software, and deploy/configure new firewall hardware to route network traffic securely through client data centers.

Because technicians will operate with minimal direct supervision following initial training, candidate reliability, ownership, clear communication, and strong troubleshooting abilities are essential.

Project Structure & Schedule Options

  • Initial Schedule (All Technicians): Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Technicians will travel between multiple client facilities within the same workday as needed.
  • Shift Transition (As Project Progresses):
  • Team A (Day Shift): Remains on Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, continuing day-to-day travel between assigned facilities.
  • Team B (Night Shift): Transitions to Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM. This team will focus on single-facility site completions, spending several days to a week at one location without inter-day travel before moving on to the next site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site physical hardware and software inventory assessments.
  • Install and configure Zscaler Trusted Branch (ZTB) software on client workstations.
  • Physically install and set up new firewall hardware at target facilities.
  • Perform independent, hands-on technical troubleshooting for network connectivity, device readiness, and client installation issues.
  • Provide clear, proactive daily progress updates and escalate technical hurdles to supervisors via Microsoft Teams.
  • Maintain strict accountability for work quality, task completion, and documentation standards across all assigned sites.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Strong troubleshooting background in field support, workstation configuration, software installation, and basic networking/firewall setups.
  • Independence & Accountability: Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision after initial training, taking full ownership of assigned tasks and quality control.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; fluent with Microsoft Teams for real-time status reporting, problem escalation, and daily updates.
  • Transportation & Travel: Must possess a personal, highly reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Mileage Policy: Mileage is reimbursed at $0.76/mile for authorized travel between client facilities during a shift. Commuting travel from home to the first facility of the day (and home from the final facility) is not eligible for reimbursement.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work Monday – Friday, with availability to work either the day shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or night shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) as project needs transition.
