Job description

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about tech and ready to kickstart your IT career? One of our leading K-12 education partners is looking for an energetic Entry-Level IT Field Technician to support their campuses between the hours of 9AM to 4PM Monday through Friday throughout the Chicagoland area for a short term month contract -with the potential to extend.

In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in managing IT inventory and assets, and help keep schools running smoothly by assisting faculty, students, and staff with Chromebook setup and troubleshooting. You'll travel across various school sites in the Chicagoland area, so every day offers something new.

Qualifications

What You'll Do:

 

  • Provide on-site IT support to end users (staff, students, faculty)
  • Set up and troubleshoot Chromebooks and other devices
  • Assist with IT inventory and asset tracking
  • Travel between multiple school campuses (mileage reimbursement may apply)

 

Requirements:

  • Some experience in IT support or troubleshooting is a plus
  • Formal IT training, coursework, or certifications are preferred
  • Familiarity with Chromebooks (as a user or administrator) is preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
