Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist (Desktop Support) to join our on‑site IT team in Temple, TX. This role is focused on providing hands‑on desktop support and fast incident response for employees at our Temple office, while also delivering remote IT support to users at other locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys helping people, troubleshooting technical issues, and working in a collaborative, in‑office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day desktop and end‑user support for on‑site employees in Temple, TX
  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests via ticketing system, phone, and in person
  • Deliver remote technical support to employees at other company locations
  • Troubleshoot and support:
    • Windows PCs and laptops
    • Desktop and laptop hardware
    • Printers and peripherals
    • Mobile devices (cell phones)
  • Assist with user account tasks such as password resets and basic access issues
  • Set up, image, and deploy new laptops and desktops for new hires and replacements
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or other teams as appropriate
  • Document resolutions and procedures to help improve team knowledge and support efficiency
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when supporting users
Required Qualifications
  • Basic experience supporting Windows‑based PCs and laptops (professional, academic, or home lab experience acceptable)
  • Familiarity with common IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, mobile devices)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Good communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
