The Technology Communications Manager is responsible for building awareness with external stakeholders and strengthening the brand of Global IT through strategic internal and external communications. This role partners closely with senior technology and business leaders to translate complex technology initiatives into compelling narratives that drive engagement, alignment and trust across the enterprise and with external stakeholders.
The position is based with Quest Diagnostics' Schaumburg, IL site and will require 2 days on site.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that supports Global IT priorities, reinforces brand positioning, and aligns with enterprise objectives
  • Build and promote the Global IT brand through consistent, high-impact messaging across internal and external forums, including town halls, leadership briefings, digital channels, industry events, and social media
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to senior leadership
  • Translate complex technical concepts into concise, audience-appropriate communications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Plan and manage executive-level communications
  • Oversee internal communication channels to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of IT programs and services
  • Support external communications and marketing efforts in partnership with corporate communications and marketing teams
  • Measure and continuously improve communication effectiveness using analytics, feedback, and engagement metrics
  • Ensure messaging constancy and brand alignment across Global IT communications
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the IT executive leadership team and the Technology organization in the development of organizational communication and plans, change management plans, and employee engagement programs

Qualifications
Required Work Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or brand management, with strong focus on technology or IT organizations
  • Proven experience interacting with senior leadership and supporting executive-level communications
  • Strong background in strategic communications planning and brand building
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple communication channels in a fast-paced environment, including social media channels
  • Ability to collaborate across IT, marketing, HR, and corporate communications team

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field. (Required)
  • Master's degree (Preferred)
