Job description

Location: Remote - Florida

Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM
Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $30.32 - $39.42 / hour
This is a remote position incumbents, who reside in Florida only, may work at home. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Lee Health location.
Summary
Responsible for the oversight of the coding and coding education staff in conjunction with coding and documentation education coordination and implementation for the medical providers of the Lee Physician Group. The coding and documentation education team aims to improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation to accurately reflect patient care in adherence to industry best practices. The Lead will develop strong partnerships and interface with key Stakeholders across all employed practices including; The Coding Education team, Reconciliation/Denials team, Clinicians, IT, Coding and Revenue Cycle teams to fulfill the mission and vision of Lee Professional Billing while ensuring program performance, and quality, service, and regulatory compliance. Works collaboratively with facility Quality Documentation team when necessary. Has oversight of quality reviews of staff and integrity of educational feedback to medical providers. The Lead will serve as a technical working leader and identify department educational opportunities for improvement as well as perform other job duties assigned

• Ability to apply coding conventions, official guidelines, and Coding Clinic advice to health record documentation.
• Responsible for the technical leadership and coordination of the coding education team, including implementation and adherence to best practices and principles.
• Recognize opportunities for documentation improvement.
• Formulate compliant credible addendums when necessary.
