Job description

The Manager of IT Engineering & Analytics will lead the Spurwink IT Applications team, which supports Spurwink's mission by managing essential software, creating custom data integrations/automations, and by developing interactive business intelligence solutions.
This position has hybrid work opportunities for Maine and New Hampshire residents only.
DUTIES:
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT analysts and business intelligence developers, driving a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Collaborate across business areas to gather requirements, design and develop comprehensive solutions that improve business processes and data-driven decision-making.
  • Build/maintain a repository of knowledge documents and training materials. Cross-train team members in new software and BI solutions.
  • Maintain proficiency with Spurwink's business processes and lead efforts to improve agency outcomes and efficiency by integrating new technologies and promoting data-driven decision-making.
  • Complete detailed application comparisons when new initiatives arise that align with the IT Strategic Plan. Present supporting documentation and recommendations to Technology Steering Committee for approval and prioritization.
  • Understand the complexities affecting the reliability and validity of data in Spurwink's information systems. Use that data to design and develop advanced reports to meet a variety of agency needs, determine accuracy, and independently troubleshoot data problems.
  • Minimal travel to client sites, attend and/or presentations at User Groups and other meetings.
  • Other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Vice President of Information Technology or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a related field or combination of bachelor's degree and relevant experience. 10+ years' experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering/dba role. Intermediate/Expert-level proficiency with SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) 8+ years' experience developing end-to-end business intelligence solutions for diverse audiences. Proficiency with Sisense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tool required. 8+ years' experience building/automating data integration solutions using SQL, APIs, and other tools. Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or similar tool required. 8+ years testing and upgrading application systems across a variety of platforms and databases (SQL, Windows, Cloud Hosted, etc.) Experience working in a healthcare environment (medical or mental health).
