Job description

Summary

Our client is seeking a highly organized and technically driven Technology Project Coordinator to support bond-funded technology projects within the Los Angeles Community College District. This role will serve as a key support resource for the Technology Project Management team by coordinating project documentation, scheduling meetings, tracking project progress, and assisting with the successful delivery of multiple IT infrastructure and technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating multiple IT projects simultaneously, particularly within construction, engineering, or capital improvement environments. This individual should possess strong communication, organizational, and technical coordination skills, with the ability to support projects from planning and design through closeout.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Support
    • Support the coordination and execution of 510 IT projects simultaneously, varying in size and complexity
    • Assist Technology Project Managers with project tracking, scheduling, and deliverable management
    • Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to support project completion
    • Provide timely project updates, status reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
    • Organize and maintain project folders, records, and technical documentation
  • Project Documentation
    • Assist in preparing and maintaining project initiation forms and project schedules
    • Support risk identification and mitigation tracking efforts
    • Review and help develop IT-related contract documents and project deliverables
    • Assist with technical scope development for various IT infrastructure projects
    • Support review and coordination of project submittals and approvals
  • Meeting Coordination & Communication
    • Schedule and coordinate project meetings with stakeholders and project teams
    • Create meeting agendas and document meeting notes/minutes
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to finalize and distribute meeting documentation
    • Develop reports, presentations, and project communication materials as needed
  • Budgeting, Scheduling & Reporting
    • Assist with tracking project budgets, schedules, and overall program performance
    • Coordinate with Asset Management teams regarding inventory and asset tracking
    • Maintain project status reporting related to construction and technology project schedules
    • Assist with change order review and evaluation alongside Project Managers and Cost Estimators
    • Update risk logs and assist in identifying mitigation strategies
  • Technology Project Support
    • Support projects related to:
      • Networking and communications infrastructure
      • Wireless and cellular deployments
      • Physical security systems (IP cameras and access control)
      • VoIP and IP-based communications
      • Enterprise device deployments
      • Server and endpoint infrastructure
      • Asset management and technical inventory tracking

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Required:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating and managing multiple IT projects
    • Experience working within capital improvement programs and familiarity with relevant codes and standards
    • Experience integrating technology within construction and engineering projects
    • Experience coordinating multiple IT projects of varying size and complexity
    • Experience supporting projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and closeout
    • Experience supporting technologies including:
