The IT Director leads the technology department by developing and executing strategic IT roadmaps that align with long-term business growth and operational goals. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team, manages infrastructure and cybersecurity, and partners with executive stakeholders to optimize system performance and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader capable of operating with high autonomy to drive organizational technological advancement.

Annual Salary: $160,000 to $200,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year IT roadmap to support business growth and maintain a competitive technological advantage.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, and hardware.
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise IT managers and staff to foster a culture of high performance and professional growth.
  • Establish robust cybersecurity protocols and manage risk assessments to ensure compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR and FERPA.
  • Manage the annual IT budget and oversee capital expenditure for new technology acquisitions.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage procurement processes for hardware, software, and services.
  • Develop, implement, and test comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans to minimize operational downtime.
  • Partner with department heads to identify technological needs and provide efficient, scalable solutions across the organization.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure high availability and user satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the integration and management of enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, WMS, and Shopify.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA or MS in Information Systems) is preferred.
  • 7 to 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Deep technical knowledge of network architecture and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, WMS, and Shopify platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and international data privacy regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage departmental budgets and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving organizational change and operating with high autonomy.
