What is an IT asset manager?

IT Asset Managers are professionals responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing an organization’s information technology assets. They also oversee asset procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, making sure all assets are properly inventoried and up-to-date.

What are some common challenges faced by IT asset managers in keeping track of company assets?

IT Asset Managers often face challenges such as maintaining accurate inventories of hardware and software, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and managing assets across multiple locations or departments.
