Job Description

Project managers lead large and visible cross functional projects for companies Business Unit IT customers all over the world keeping a balance between scope, schedule and resources and using our methodology (ITPM). Shared IT Services include the Application Development and Production Support groups, Enterprise, Domain, Solutions and IT infrastructure. Shared IT Services provide centralized IT services in four major data centers and in most offices and plants worldwide. 

Apply past business and IT knowledge and concepts to new situations, translate product scope, project objectives and business needs into low ambiguity requirements 

Apply analysis skills to quickly assess and understand the role and function of each team member in order to effectively conduct resource planning and coordinate the activities of the team 

Ensure all project management or other IT methodology documentation is collected through facilitation and team work and kept up-to-date 

Provide a proactive single point of contact for status communications support between customer project manager and all of the Shared IT groups related to project scoping, planning, resourcing, monitoring, execution and closure phases 

Strategically initiate and facilitate cross group sessions in the communication mode as necessary to ensure timely knowledge sharing and coordination 

The role is heavily oriented to pure project management activities and less oriented to technical knowledge however it is imperative that the candidate have enough technical background to ask appropriate questions and understand how the project inter-dependencies should be sequenced. 


Qualifications

Education/Experience 

* Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. AN MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred 

* Minimum 5-7 years' experience required 

* HRIT experience would be extremely beneficial for this role 

* 6 Sigma experience while not required, would also be a plus for this role
