About the Role

As an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will:

  • Assess security risks and ensure compliance with IA standards.
  • Design, develop, and integrate secure IT systems, networks, and architectures.
  • Collaborate with system architects and developers to implement security policies.
  • Support risk management, accreditation, and certification processes.
  • Identify and mitigate security threats throughout the project lifecycle.


What Youll Do

  • Serve as a security engineering expert on various project teams.
  • Design and implement IA systems, networks, and architectures.
  • Enforce trusted relationships among external systems.
  • Conduct security planning, assessment, and risk management activities.
  • Ensure proper handling of government data and adherence to IA policies.


ISSE Levels and Qualifications

ISSE 1

  • Experience: 7+ years as an ISSE on projects of similar scope and complexity.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience as a substitute).
  • Certification: DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2.

ISSE 2

  • Experience: 14+ years as an ISSE on similar programs.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
  • Certification:
    • DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2.
    • CISSP Certification required.

ISSE 3

  • Experience: 20+ years as an ISSE on similar programs (Masters degree may substitute for 2 years).
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience as a substitute).
  • Certification:
    • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3.
    • Both CISSP and ISSEP Certifications required.

All Applicants must have the following:anactivehigh-level security clearance that required an investigative screening exam and meet the minimum job requirements specified for applying position. For this position, we are not seeking clearable or eligible applicants. All information provided is subject to verification. A security background check is required, and if you have already completed a background check/clearance, then that is a plus!
