Island Immediate Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner for our Urgent Care facility located in the vibrant hub of Atlanta, Georgia. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments on patients presenting in urgent care settings, diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic health issues.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays, lab results, and EKGs, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Efficiently triage patients, ensuring a smooth workflow that prevents long wait times while providing timely care.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, including wound closures, incision and drainage (I&D), and the removal of foreign bodies.
  • Execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as joint aspirations and injections into bursas and cysts.
  • Administer IV fluids and facilitate closed reductions for simple fractures or dislocations, including specialized techniques such as nursemaid's elbow reductions.
  • Apply and adjust braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances as needed for patient recovery.
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities, including patient callbacks and reviewing lab results, while providing clinical oversight.
  • Serve as a sole provider during shifts, mentoring and guiding advanced practice clinicians in best practices and patient care strategies.

Qualifications
  • A valid Georgia RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

  • Proven experience in acute care or urgent care settings, with a minimum of 1 year in a relevant clinical role.

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in nursing; a Masterโ€™s degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • Weekend availability to meet clinic coverage requirements.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 140,000 and 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
