Description
As our Lifeguard, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary pool and/or lake area while ensuring all safety equipment is present at and around the pool/lake area at all times. You must already have your lifeguard certification. No classes being offered in house at this time.
This is a seasonal position that may require flexible scheduling availability
Requirements
Job Requirements:

  • Supervise guests' behavior in the pool area and immediate pool area
  • Document as required by state and local regulations
  • Monitor individuals entering and leaving the pool area.
  • Ensure state capacity is not exceeded
  • Ensure all posted pool rules are being adhered to
  • Ensure safety equipment is present and in working order
  • Check the first aid kit for needed supplies on a daily basis
  • Sweep the pool deck and all surrounding areas daily
  • Straighten the pool furniture regularly, ensuring that furniture is clean and in working order at all times
  • Clean clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Must have the flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors.
