Position Summary
ARK Academy is seeking talented, caring, and passionate teachers to join our team ​​for the 2026-2027 academy year. Teachers are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering strong character development, and supporting the holistic growth of every student.
We consider part-time candidates as well. 

Responsibilities: 
Classroom Leadership
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment and effectively lead classroom dynamics.
  • Foster a character-centered classroom culture in which ethical conduct is modeled and demonstrated through compassion, humility, integrity, and courage, while applying behavior guidance strategies in alignment with school policies.
  • Contribute to nurturing students who are intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually grounded in an Islamic worldview. 
Curriculum & Instruction 
  • Reinforce and maintain the school’s culture of high academic achievement by planning and delivering instruction aligned with the school’s curriculum, creating an environment in which students ask probing questions and think critically. 
  • Support students in developing an understanding of Islam and living its values throughout the school day.
  • Effectively differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
  • Demonstrate strong content knowledge in the subjects taught.
Student Support & Partnership 
  • Foster self-confidence, intrinsic motivation, and accountability for academic growth.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and provide clear interpretation of the instructional program.
  • Identify individual student needs and collaborate with staff to assess and address academic, health, and social emotional concerns. 
Assessment & Evaluation
  • Administer high-quality, standards-based formative and summative assessments to evaluate student mastery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in a timely manner.
  • Regularly analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify strengths and gaps for growth in instruction and curriculum implementation.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Attend virtual and in-person professional development to maintain current knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and best practices in education.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and collaborative planning as required. 
  • Uphold and reflect the mission, philosophy, and core values of ARK Academy in all professional interactions. 
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents in pursuit of shared goals.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and respect in working with children and adults.
  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
  • Commitment to fostering respect for all individuals and creating an inclusive classroom environment that values and honors every student.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Familiarity with common Islamic terminology and accurate pronunciation of Arabic terms.
  • Knowledge of Islamic beliefs, practices, values, and history.
Regulatory Requirements:
  • Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice.
  • Health screening, including proof of Tuberculosis clearance.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
