Job description

Position Title: Teller SupervisorReports To: Senior Branch ManagerResponsibilities:
  • Coaching the Teller staff to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities, and the process of referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen customer relationships and strengthen internal partnerships.
  • Maintaining knowledge and educating team on all products, services, technology and policies.
  • Managing the operations of the Teller line and ensuring adherence to all operations, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Pursues personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for this position.
  • Assists with hiring, supervising, motivating, , and communicating with Teller
  • Deals with customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries.
  • May manage a Teller line as the only Supervisor, or may operate as a larger team in multiple locations.
  • Provide operational assistance to the Branch Manager, Branch Officer, Senior Branch Manager, or Regional Branch Manager.
  • Operate a Teller drawer. Understand how to process deposits, withdrawals, take loan payments, and how to examine checks for proper acceptance within established procedures.
  • Assist customer with opening new accounts, as needed.
  • Leader and role model to the Teller line.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Teller processes and new account concepts
  • Shows an insight and interest into continued development of their banking career
  • Displays leadership and effectively works with others
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight
  • Comfortable leading staff
Education/Experience
  • Two years of banking required
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
Skills
  • Effective communication ability both verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products - Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to problem solve and find solutions
  • Highly develop commitment to customer satisfaction
