Job description

Job Summary:

The CarolinaEast Health System Information Systems Department is accepting applications for an Information Systems Epic EMR Project Coordinator.  This position will manage the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of Epic software by coordinating day-to-day project logistics, documenting workflows, tracking milestones, and facilitating communication between project stakeholders.  Additionally, this role will ensure project schedules remain on track, follow issues to completion, maintain project scope, and document system changes.  A successful applicant should have three years of project coordination experience in a large healthcare environment, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, have experience with Epic applications, and have participated in Epic implementations, including requirements-planning, build activities, and end-user training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related discipline
  • Three years of IT experience in a large healthcare environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Certified in an Epic application
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification - preferred
  • Possess excellent time management and project management skills 
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and can deal effectively with both management and staff levels
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
