Irrigation Service Technician

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems at Engledow commercial clients' properties. Maintenance and repair includes but is not limited to: repairing damaged irrigation systems, spring start up and winterization of systems, problem solving and recommendations for resolving client needs. Responsibilities will include snow removal and/or salting in the winter season.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform spring start-ups and winterizations of assigned irrigation clients

Repair damaged systems as requested by clients

Be creative in accomplishing the work quickly and accurately

Maintain and complete all necessary paperwork for billing and time sheets

Complete necessary paperwork and computer data entry required for payroll and other needed data entry

Maintain inventories of existing irrigation supplies

Attend necessary meetings to discuss goals and needs

Maintain Engledow safety driving standards

Provide winter services per the instruction of the Winter Services Manager.



Requirements

  • Must have a strong interest and desire to work with irrigation systems
  • A strong desire to learn and become back-flow certified desired
  • Requires the ability to communicate well in both written and verbal
  • Must be service oriented to meet/exceed customers' needs
  • Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
  • Must be able to work in an efficient and organized manner independently
  • Must have strong physical endurance as the position can be very labor intensive
