Job Summary

  • The Irrigation Foreman detects and makes repairs to the irrigation system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Detect and repair the irrigation system
  • Read and interpret various gauges related to the irrigation system
  • Manage employees and oversee production in the field
  • Ensure a safe environment for other workers and vendors, clients and for all employees
  • Operate light/heavy equipment effectively and according to all regulations
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained and managed; alert supervisors if there are any issues
  • Report any problems with job site or equipment immediately
  • Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as promote company culture       

Education and Experience:

  • Commercial irrigation installation experience - minimum 2 years of experience in irrigation
  • Strong work ethic - Knowledge of blueprints
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Irrigation certification is a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must possess the visual acuity to operate equipment and motor vehicles, perform trades tasks, inspect the work of others, and review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.

Work Environment:

  • The position primarily works outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, weather conditions and noise levels.
