We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Foreman to lead field crews in installing and maintaining irrigation systems.

Job Summary:
The Irrigation Foreman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of irrigation installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial and residential properties. This position requires technical knowledge of irrigation systems, including 2-wire systems, and the ability to lead and motivate a crew to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise irrigation crew members on-site during installation and maintenance projects.

· Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, with proficiency in 2-wire systems.

· Ensure all work meets quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations.

· Operate and maintain irrigation tools and equipment, ensuring crew safety and proper use.

· Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals related to irrigation systems.

· Coordinate with project managers to prioritize daily tasks and allocate resources efficiently.

· Perform inspections of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.

· Train and mentor crew members on best practices in irrigation system installation and repair.

· Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed.

· Track materials, labor, and equipment used on projects, ensuring proper documentation.

· Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and residential irrigation installation and maintenance.

· Experience with 2-wire irrigation systems is required.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.

· Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, heads, sensors, and pumps.

· Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues on the job site.

· Experience reading and interpreting irrigation system blueprints and plans.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to work in various weather conditions and on physically demanding projects.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills:

· Certification in irrigation (CIC, CID, or similar) is a plus.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Working Conditions

· Employee will work out of the Palmetto office, vehicle office or out of a field office at the construction site.

· Employee may have to travel when the construction site is in another area or when they are responsible for activities at two or more sites.

· Employee may also expect to work in stressful situations.

· Management of construction projects outside of daily driving distance may entail temporary residence in another area.

· Employee may need to be “on call,” 24 hours a day, to deal with bad weather or emergencies at the site.

· Employee may be subject to lifting and exposure to extreme weather, fumes and chemicals.

Work and Physical Requirements

· May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.

· Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

· Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling.

· Work is performed in both an internal and external environment with occasional exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures.
