Job description

Project Field Supervision of Crafts, Subcontractors, Field Staff or Home Office Staff and overall Budget Performance as well as management of the overall site. Perform other duties as required.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project. Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe. Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a bachelor's degree. Construction Field Experience or University Degree
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
In addition to Level 1 competencies, manages professional employees and/or supervisors; may manage business support, technical or production staff
Has accountability for managing financial resources
Provides technical guidance to employees
Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies
Has in-depth expertise in own discipline and knowledge of the related disciplines
Applies technical and/o9r managerial expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to employees in own area
Anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions
Interprets business issues and adapts work priorities in own area
Manages budget for own area and allocates resources accordingly
Resolves operational, customer, employee or technical problems that impact the effectiveness of own area
Develops plans and coordinates resources to meet operational objectives within own area
Explains difficult concepts and persuades others to adopt a point of view
Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching. Typically has 2-10 years relevant experience
