Job description

Southall Farm and Inn is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. Our Lead In-Room Dining (IRD) Server will be the efficient and detail-oriented point person to oversee our In-Room Dining operations. The IRD Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely delivery of food and beverages to guests, maintaining inventory levels, training staff, and resolving any guest issues or complaints related to In-Room Dining.
Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the In-Room Dining department
Schedule and supervise staff to ensure efficient service
Train new employees on department procedures and service standards
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Work closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure timely delivery of orders
Address any guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Implement strategies to maximize department efficiency and profitability
Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and gather feedback
Assist in developing new menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience

Skills & Experience


2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry

Active Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission certification
Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds with frequent lifting and or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds; requires walking and or standing to a significant degree

Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time
