Job description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Recovery Performance & Analytics to lead the vision, analytics, and operational performance of our first-party and third-party post-charge-off debt recovery portfolio. This executive leader will be responsible for maximizing recovery and liquidation rates while ensuring strict regulatory compliance, exceptional customer treatment, and protection of the company’s brand and reputation.

A key focus of this role is the optimization and performance management of our external recovery partner network. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands‑on experience overseeing third‑party collection agencies, including negotiating and managing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), implementing champion‑challenger strategies, driving data‑driven performance analytics, and leading vendor integrations. This leader will leverage insights, operational expertise, and strong partner relationships to enhance recovery outcomes, improve efficiency, and support the organization’s long‑term strategic objectives.

Core Responsibilities Third-Party Agency & Vendor Management
  • Strategic Oversight: Direct the performance of all recovery efforts in both the first party and third‑party side of the business across all of our clients with a heavy emphasis on our third party onboarding process as well as policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Agency Placement Strategy: Design and execute optimal account placement tiers, recall strategies, and inventory management lifecycles.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Establish robust champion‑challenger frameworks to drive competition, shifting market share dynamically based on net recovery performance.
  • Vendor Governance: Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), audit dialer strategies, and enforce strict adherence to compliance standards (FDCPA, FCRA, CFPB).
Analytics & Performance Optimization
  • Predictive Modeling: Partner with data science teams to build proprietary scoring models (e.g., propensity-to-pay, liquidation modeling) to optimize collection inventory.
  • Performance Dashboards: Design and maintain real‑time automated dashboards tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross/net recovery rates, cost-to-collect, roll rates, and other key reporting criteria
  • Data Integration: Oversee the continuous flow of data files (placements, payments, maintenance) between internal systems and third‑party clients.
  • Forecasting: Provide executive leadership with accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual recovery cash flow forecasts.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in debt collections, asset recovery, and financial analytics.
  • Third-Party Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience managing, auditing, or working within a third‑party collection agency environment. Deep knowledge of agency dialer physics, collection workflows, and agency commission models is mandatory.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, SAS, Python, or R) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field; MBA preferred.
  • Compliance: Expert-level knowledge of collection laws, including FDCPA, CFPB rules, FCRA, TCPA, and state‑specific regulatory requirements.
Why Join IQVentures:
  • Work on multiple innovative consumer and business brands.
  • Access to a robust learning management system, full of e‑learning modules and training programs to help boost your professional and personal development
  • Excellent Benefits available on the date of hire
  • 401(k) with Company match with immediate vesting
  • Health Savings Account
  • Company‑provided Life Insurance
  • Voluntary benefits, including short‑term and long‑term disability insurance, accident, critical illness and legal insurance.
