About the Role
As a CBRE IoT Product Manager supporting a large Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical client, you will own and lead the end-to-end IoT program, driving strategy, deployment, and ongoing optimization of connected solutions across lab and administrative environments.
This role is responsible for developing and executing a scalable IoT program focused on space utilization, occupancy intelligence, and operational insights to support data-driven facilities management and workplace decisions.
You will translate stakeholder needs into actionable product strategies, working closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to implement IoT systems that deliver measurable value across the client's portfolio.
This is an onsite role in Indianapolis, IN with up to 15% travel.
What You'll Do
  • Own and lead CBRE's IoT program for the client account, including roadmap development, governance, and performance outcomes.
  • Define and execute a strategic vision for IoT-enabled space utilization monitoring across lab and administrative environments.
  • Partner with facilities, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify use cases for occupancy analytics, space optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the deployment and integration of IoT sensors and platforms (e.g., occupancy, environmental, and utilization tracking technologies).
  • Develop and manage the IoT product roadmap, aligning deployments with business priorities and portfolio needs.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans for engineering teams.
  • Establish data governance, standards, and integration strategies to ensure IoT data is accurate, scalable, and actionable.
  • Drive analytics and reporting capabilities, leveraging IoT data to deliver insights on space utilization, capacity planning, and workplace trends.
  • Lead vendor selection, onboarding, and performance management for IoT hardware and platform providers.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and adoption of IoT deployments across sites.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and updates on IoT program performance, insights, and strategic opportunities.
  • Communicate insights on workplace trends to business and engineering leaders.
  • Ensure alignment with CBRE and client's standards, client cyber security policies, and client-specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to expand IoT capabilities into predictive analytics and AI technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholders to support IoT adoption and value realization.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience in IoT, product management, or digital technology implementation (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience leading IoT or smart building programs, including sensor deployment, data platforms, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of space utilization, facilities management, or workplace analytics
  • Ability to translate complex operational needs into scalable technology solutions and product roadmaps.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, FM operations, data analytics, finance, and business stakeholders).
  • Familiarity with IoT platforms, data integration, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or similar analytics tools).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from IoT data.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience delivering executive-level reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deployments and initiatives simultaneously.
