To thrive as an Ionic Framework Developer, you need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a solid understanding of Angular, React, or Vue, along with experience in building cross-platform mobile applications. Familiarity with the Ionic CLI, Capacitor or Cordova plugins for native functionality, and version control systems like Git is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills help developers address challenges and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. These skills and qualities are essential to efficiently deliver high-quality, scalable mobile apps across multiple platforms.

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Senior Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help drive the development and maintenance of our mobile application built on Angular with the Ionic framework, contribute to new AI driven products, and deliver managed services application development on Archibus for key customers.
This is a hands on role that blends product engineering and client project work. You will spend part of your time building and enhancing our own products, and part of your time implementing and extending Archibus solutions for enterprise clients. If you enjoy working across the stack, care about clean, maintainable code, and like switching between product and customer focused work, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain high impact features for our Angular/Ionic mobile application and related web tools.
  • Develop and integrate AI driven solutions, including working with REST APIs, AI platforms, and supporting services.
  • Implement and customize Archibus applications based on customer requirements, including forms, workflows, views, and reports.
  • Configure and support integrations (REST, SFTP and related patterns) between Archibus, mobile applications, and other enterprise systems.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle: requirements clarification, design, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Own development tasks from concept to release, including estimating effort, identifying risks, and communicating status.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, project managers, QA, and other developers to deliver high quality solutions on time.
  • Use modern development practices such as version control, branching strategies, code review, continuous integration, and automated testing where applicable.
  • Utilize AI assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Produce clear technical documentation for features, integrations, and Archibus customizations.
  • Provide tier 3 technical support and guidance on complex issues for internal teams and key customers.
Skills, Passions, and Competencies:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional application development experience in a team environment.
  • Strong experience with object oriented programming and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React; experience with Ionic or mobile hybrid frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs; familiarity with SFTP and other integration patterns is preferred.
  • Hands on experience with Archibus or similar IWMS platforms; experience with Archibus AXVW and JavaScript APIs is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting application and database upgrades, including planning, execution, and validation.
  • Comfortable working in cloud and hosted environments such as AWS or similar platforms.
  • Hands on experience using AI tools to improve coding productivity; experience working with generative AI APIs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with authentication and single sign on concepts such as SAML and SSO is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of modern development practices, including Git based workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning application, integration, and hosting layers.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Self motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a remote or distributed team while managing priorities across product work and client projects.
