Job description

Primarily the position involves developing new functionality within our application, adding and maintaining the API integrations to credit card providers and other outside services with which our application integrates.

The position is in a small company, so often the lines of responsibility get blurred. It is not a support position but there will be instances where the programming staff is required to get involved in support issues. It requires very little customer contact, with no travel. Position can be remote or in-office located in Wexford, PA. The ideal candidate will be a person who can work easily with others in a team environment.

· Experience in Classic ASP/VBScript, both server and client-side scripting

· Knowledge of Visual Basic 6 including class modules, ActiveX Controls, COM component development and registration

· Fluency in VB.net and/or C#.net used in web services, application tier development, and COM-visible assembly authorizing (RegAsm/COM interop) for integration with a VB6/VBScript layer

· Ensure a deep understanding of Internet Explorer/IE Mode in Edge containing registry architecture, compatibility flags, enterprise policy configuration, zone security settings, browser emulation mode controls; including break-fix of ActiveX trust, COM object registration

· Ability to implement VB6 COM hardware integration (ex. Pole display, receipt printers, and barcode scanners) also USB/network interfaces and WIN32 API for raw data transmission

· Strong working knowledge in the area of Windows Server Administration pertaining to IIS configuration, application pools, service management including COM+ and MSMQ

· Familiarity with SQL including table designs, query writing, stored procedures, index maintenance, DBA fundamentals, and troubleshooting database issues

· Strong understanding of payment integration environments (EMV/Card-not-present)

· Experience with cloud platforms; Amazon AWS, Lightsail, and Kamatera in addition to local machine deployments

· Knowledge of custom C Sharp and Visual Basic.net, ETL executable development and data feed processing

· Understanding of file transfer management for EDI and ETL workflows

· Clear understanding of Crystal Reports
