Billing Clerk – Lead Person

Summary

Responsible for preparing customer statements, bills, and invoices while coordinating shipping, billing, and logistics activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation providers and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve shipping or billing issues.
• Review purchase orders, shipping documents, and invoices for accuracy.
• Obtain freight quotes and maintain relationships with carriers.
• Prepare customer invoices, bills of lading, and required shipping/customs documentation.
• Maintain pricing records, orders, and invoice files.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure shipment requirements are met.
• Ensure services and documentation meet company quality standards.
• Support and train Billing Clerks and assist with assigning and directing work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with billing and documentation.
