Job description

Loan Document Specialist

Responsible for supporting processing staff by performing a variety of duties, including validating, and requesting loan documentation in order to ensure timely closing and accuracy in each loan transaction. Work closely with a group of Loan Processors to get loans through swiftly by assisting with third party vendor requests, verifying disclosure compliance, and performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review mortgage applications and all supporting documentation to ensure information is complete, all signatures are obtained and collect missing information needed from members for the application.
  • Set up loan files with initial documents before giving the file to a loan processor for further evaluation
  • Perform third party vendor requests, including but not limited to, requesting IRS transcripts, credit supplements, written verifications of employment, flood certifications, title work requests, and ordering property appraisals
  • Generate and send out disclosures (Loan Estimates)
  • Respond to Loan Processor, Loan Officers, Member requests and assist with Processing tasks
Education, Experience And Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills using Windows-based software, as well as basic Internet skills, are required.
