Job description

Office Manager / Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Company: Spray Booth Products

Location: Redford, MI — Onsite, full-time

Compensation: $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience (approximately $62,000–$83,000 annually)

Schedule: Full-time, onsite, Monday – Friday

Benefits: Medical insurance; 401(k) with 50% company match; paid time off; paid holidays

Quick Highlights
  • Own the full accounting cycle — AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and payroll — for a stable, growing, family-owned business
  • A true "glue" role: you keep the office, sales, warehouse, and field crews connected and moving
  • Real ownership and autonomy — this seat runs the books, it does not just process transactions on request
  • Down-to-earth, non-corporate shop environment where people actually enjoy coming to work
  • Coming off a major project win and strong growth — the team is expanding and this is a key hire
  • Competitive pay plus medical, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off, onsite in Redford, MI
About Spray Booth Products

Spray Booth Products is a family-owned, second-generation distributor of industrial spray booths, paint booths, and finishing equipment serving industrial and commercial customers across Michigan. We are a lean, hands-on team — sales, warehouse, and field crews who take pride in doing good work for our customers. After landing a major project and growing significantly this year, we are expanding the team and investing in the operational backbone of the business.

Our office sits inside a working shop. It is comfortable and we have made it our own, but it is an industrial environment by design — easygoing and blue-collar, not a downtown corporate tower. The people who do their best work here like that about us.

About the Role

We are hiring an Office Manager / Full-Charge Bookkeeper to own our financial operations end-to-end. This is the seat that keeps the company running behind the scenes, and it is a role we are counting on someone to truly own rather than simply staff. You will run the books in QuickBooks, process payroll, manage payables and receivables, and keep invoicing and collections current on a steady cadence. Just as important, you will be the connective tissue between the front office, sales, the warehouse, and the field crews — the person who keeps everyone talking and everything moving.

You do not need to know anything about spray booths to succeed here. What matters is that you own your work, build reliable routines, and have the discipline and follow-through to keep the financial side of a busy shop running without someone looking over your shoulder.

What You'll Do
  • Own full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks — accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly bank reconciliation
  • Administer and process payroll accurately and on time
  • Invoice promptly and actively manage and follow up on receivables
  • Keep QuickBooks current and clean, with month-end close running on a predictable schedule
  • Handle benefits administration and new-employee registration
  • Catch inconsistencies across quotes, invoices, and work reports and follow up to resolve them
  • Keep the office, sales, warehouse, and field crews coordinated and informed
What You Bring

Required:

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), able to run it independently from day one
  • Full-cycle accounting experience: bank reconciliation, AP, and AR
  • Hands-on payroll administration and processing experience
  • A track record of owning your work — building routines and closing gaps without being asked
  • Able to reliably commute to an onsite role in Redford, MI (no relocation)

Preferred (a plus, not required):

  • ADP payroll experience
  • P&L statement preparation
  • Salesforce or comparable CRM familiarity
  • Back-office experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial-equipment businesses
  • Strong receivables and collections instinct
Who Thrives Here
  • You treat the books as yours and take pride in keeping them clean
  • You build routines for AP, AR, and payroll and live inside them
  • You chase the missing invoice or the unmatched deposit until it is resolved
  • You are energized, not drained, by untangling a problem
  • You bring a steady, positive presence to a busy, close-knit team
Compensation and Benefits
  • $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience (approximately $62,000–$83,000 annually)
  • Medical insurance
  • 401(k) with a 50% company match on contributions up to $2,000 per year
  • 10 days of paid time off per year, increasing with tenure
  • Paid holidays
