What kind of projects or tasks can I expect to work on as an Investment Sales Intern?

As an Investment Sales Intern, you will typically assist with market research, financial analysis, and the preparation of marketing materials for investment properties. You may help create investment proposals, track industry trends, and support senior sales professionals in client communications and property tours. Interns often gain exposure to the deal process, learning how transactions are structured and executed, while collaborating closely with analysts, brokers, and other team members. This hands-on experience provides valuable insight into both the technical and client-facing sides of investment sales.

What is an Investment Sales Intern?

An Investment Sales Intern is a student or recent graduate who supports a real estate or financial firm’s sales team by assisting with market research, financial analysis, preparing marketing materials, and helping with client presentations. Their main goal is to gain hands-on experience in investment sales, which involves the buying and selling of investment properties or financial products. Interns often work closely with senior professionals to learn about market trends, deal structuring, and client relationship management. This role provides valuable exposure to the investment sales process and can be a stepping stone to a full-time position in finance or real estate.
