The Financial Advisor Associate – Investments & Portfolio Analyst works closely with a Financial Advisor (FA) to deliver comprehensive, client-centric investment solutions while providing analytical support in portfolio construction, monitoring, and financial planning. This role blends relationship management, business development, and execution responsibilities with research-driven analysis, asset allocation support, and portfolio oversight to help clients achieve their financial goals.


  • Engage with clients and prospects to understand financial goals, risk tolerance, time horizons, and investment preferences.
  • Maintain a deep and current understanding of client needs to support suitable investment recommendations and long-term relationship growth.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for clients, addressing questions, requests for analysis, and service needs in collaboration with the Financial Advisor.
  • Support business development efforts through networking, referrals, and participation in client events and industry seminars.
  • Perform portfolio evaluations and ongoing performance monitoring relative to client objectives, benchmarks, and risk parameters.
  • Analyze existing holdings to assess appropriateness, identify risks, and recommend portfolio adjustments when warranted.
  • Develop customized asset allocation and investment proposals using firm-approved analytical and planning tools.
  • Research market trends, product changes, and investment opportunities, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and updating of comprehensive financial plans.
  • Enter solicited and unsolicited trades at the direction of the Financial Advisor and process client-directed orders accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and team investment processes.
  • Identify and escalate client complaints, suspicious activity, trading errors, or compliance issues.'
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records.

  • Strong client relationship and advisory skills.
  • Solid understanding of investments, portfolios, and asset allocation.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • High ethical standards in a regulated environment.

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Required: 10+ years of financial services or brokerage experience.

  • Minimum Required: Series 7; and Series 63/65 or 66 as applicable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite. #LI-AS1

Salary: USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $175,000.00/Yr.
Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidates qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifels overall compensation package for each individual employee.
