About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) to lead strategic supply chain transformation initiatives for a leading retail, distribution, or manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end projects focused on inventory optimization, demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and supply chain planning solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering Supply Chain Planning or Inventory Planning projects, with proven experience managing cross-functional teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation of planning solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IP&R) projects, ensuring successful execution from project initiation through deployment and post-go-live support.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, milestones, risks, dependencies, and governance.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to define project objectives, business requirements, and implementation strategies.

  • Drive initiatives focused on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, allocation strategies, and supply chain process improvements.

  • Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

  • Coordinate business requirement gathering, solution design reviews, system integration, testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and hypercare activities.

  • Collaborate with business users to optimize inventory planning policies, replenishment parameters, ordering logic, safety stock strategies, and master data management.

  • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, fill rates, stock availability, service levels, and replenishment effectiveness.

  • Facilitate project governance meetings, executive steering committee updates, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.

  • Support organizational change management initiatives by coordinating user training, documentation, communication plans, and adoption of new business processes.

  • Ensure compliance with project management best practices, quality standards, and organizational governance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Mentor project team members and foster collaboration across business and technology teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience delivering Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Planning, or Replenishment projects.

  • Strong understanding of Inventory Planning, Demand Forecasting, Replenishment, Allocation, and Inventory Optimization processes.

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Operations, Merchandising, and IT organizations.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications.

  • Experience leading enterprise system implementations, enhancements, testing, UAT, deployment, and production support.

  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more Supply Chain Planning or Inventory Planning solutions, including:

Additionally preferred:

  • Experience within Retail, eCommerce, Consumer Goods (CPG), Distribution, Manufacturing, or 3PL industries.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning concepts such as S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Optimization.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Agile certification is an advantage.

  • Experience working with global or multi-country project implementations.
