Position Summary

The Manager of Inventory Planning is responsible for the establishment of aircraft component and material inventory levels throughout the maintenance organization. Responsible for leading the inventory planning team. Within these teams, this position will hold ultimate accountability for building and maintaining The Inventory Planning function, building, and maintaining inventory planning databases, implementing allocation methodology, monitor, and control parts shipments to restock bases.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure team members operate with Safety as a top priority.
  • Lead the team via mentorship, coaching and successor planning with team member growth and development as the resulting outcome.
  • Develop and establish methodology and philosophy for the placement of inventory and associated sparing levels throughout the organization.
  • Lead in the formulation of annual provisioning projections based on fleet route structure and activity.
  • Build and maintain the materials budgets and work with the PSA finance team on implementing the budget.
  • Actively seek PMA parts and collaborates with PSA stakeholders and vendors in PMA/OOPP development.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of aviation experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in attracting, selecting, and developing technical teams that can pull together to quickly overcome obstacles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong technical consulting/customer service background, as well as excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle operational issues effectively, understanding escalation, communication, and crisis management.
  • Previous inventory planning experience.
  • Previous development of budgets, forecasting and operational expenses.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
  • Gained experience in managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects.
  • Gained experience in leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups.
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Strong Database background in developing and building databases to track and manage inventory and inventory planning methodology.
  • Ability to work and manage both onshore and offshore resources.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English. 
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Aviation Management or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Aviation Supply Chain Experience.
  • Skilled in creating annual budgets and tracking to make sure they are met.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills, have strong presentation and analytical skills and possess a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Director of Stores and Supply Chain.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This is a supervisory position. 

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
