Job description

What You'll Do

Forecast & Plan

  • Develop and maintain inventory forecasts using historical sales, trends, seasonality, promotions, supplier expectations, and changing business needs.
  • Compare forecasts against actual sales and inventory movement to continually improve purchasing decisions.
  • Anticipate shortages, excess inventory, and other risks after they impact the business.
  • Help forecast new products, packages, promotions, and seasonal demand.
  • Come prepared to forecasting meetings with insights, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

Analyze & Recommend

● Monitor inventory levels, Days of Inventory (DOI), out-of-stocks, excess and close-dated inventory,
inbound product, and sales trends.
● Identify unusual trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve inventory performance.
● Track forecast accuracy and use results to improve future assumptions.
● Translate inventory data into clear recommendations for business leaders.
● Use Encompass, Excel, reporting tools, and technology to improve visibility and decision-making.

Manage Inventory & Purchasing

● Make purchasing decisions based on forecasted demand, inventory position, supplier requirements,
lead times, and DOI targets.
● Monitor incoming product and proactively address potential shortages or excess inventory.
● Identify opportunities to move inventory between locations to reduce outages, excess product,
unnecessary freight, and product loss.
● Coordinate product transfers, supplier deliveries, trucking, and pickups as needed.

Partner Across the Business

● Work closely with Sales, Operations, warehouse teams, suppliers, and leadership.
● Understand upcoming promotions, new products, discontinued items, market activity, and other factors
affecting demand.
● Communicate inventory concerns early—and bring potential solutions with them.
● Approach inventory decisions from a company-wide perspective rather than focusing on a single
location.

You will be successful in this role when you:

● Improve forecast accuracy over time.
● Maintain appropriate inventory levels and DOI targets.
● Reduce avoidable out-of-stocks and excess inventory.
● Identify inventory risks after they become business problems.
● Deliver accurate and timely reporting.
● Make sound, data-supported purchasing recommendations.
● Build strong partnerships with Sales, Operations, suppliers, and warehouse teams.
● Continually improve the way Quality Brands forecasts, purchases, and manages inventory.

What We're Looking For

● Bachelor's or associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Finance, or a related
field preferred.
● Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain, forecasting, warehouse
operations, or a related field preferred.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data.
● Ability to recognize trends and turn information into recommendations and action.
● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities, suppliers, deadlines, and inventory needs.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
● Experience with Encompass WMS or another inventory/ERP system is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance within 60 days of employment
  • $400 monthly waiver benefit if Health insurance is waived
  • PTO after 90 days
  • 401k with Employer Contribution
  • Company-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Other voluntary insurance coverage available such as Life, Accident, and Critical Illness
  • Wellness Program with incentives

Compensation
$60,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus a company phone allowance.
If you're ready to take on inventory planning, develop your forecasting expertise, and help build
smarter ways to manage inventory across a growing organization, we'd like to hear from you!
