Job description

Position: Inventory Control Specialist

Manager: Facility Manager- Charlotte, NC

Status: Full-Time

Overview: The inventory control specialist position is available Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime as required by departmental needs.  The inventory control specialist should be self-motivated, work well under pressure and in high stress environments and have the ability to work well with others while demonstrating COE’s core values: Customer Service, Quality, Respect, Safety, Teamwork and Transparency.  This position is based out of our Charlotte, NC distribution center.  

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of cycle counts as provided by management
  • Process and put away all returns (RMAs)
  • Review all RMAs entered by Customer Service daily and research root cause of inventory-related issues such as pulling errors, orders that were billed but not shipped, etc
  • Communicate with Customer Service and other appropriate team members on discrepancies and follow-up required
  • Maintain a recorded log of items located or moved incorrectly
  • Working with management in making determination on proper inventory placement for most efficient put away and picking processes
  • Leveraging Bizowie (ERP) to maintain and log accurate inventory and inventory transactions
  • Provide honest and timely feedback to management
  • Achieve goals for department for tasks being accomplished 
  • Attend Becoming Your Best Book Club upon hire
  • Portray positive attitude to all departments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 1-year experience in inventory control required, preferably in office furniture
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, as well as a strong proficiency in excel, word and outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
