Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
Remuneration: Non-Exempt
The Inventory Control Specialist, Associate falls under the Operations organization through an Inventory Control Supervisor. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for master data accuracy supporting the inventory, ensuring the right part is available at the time, and assisting site operations with managing warranty claims.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Create Purchase Requisitions for all goods needed for site and Balance of Plan (BOP) operations and maintenances in region
  • Perform all inventory movements in SAP
  • Ability to support multiple sites with minimal assistance
  • Perform Quarterly counts and maintain accurate inventory level percentages
  • Analyzes product usage and adjusts MRP as appropriate with operations consent to optimize inventory levels
  • Learn and utilize the Product Life Cycle Management process
  • Demonstrate strong safety culture mindset
  • Keep accurate master data information uploaded
  • Perform all shipping/receiving duties
  • Review open orders from suppliers and communicate ship dates to necessary parties (risk report) while building relationships with external vendors
  • Track serialized components and resolve discrepancies within inventory records
  • Generate inventory and logistics reports using SAP
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of spare part inventory using SAP PM/MM
  • Request new part creation and extensions as needed
  • Support adequate record of all inventory levels at assigned locations in SAP MM and accurate bin locations
  • Becomes familiar and remains current regarding the necessary parts and material for maintenances at responsible sites
  • Performs daily/monthly inspections and observations at perspective site(s)
  • Is a liaison between OEM and Site operations for sites under warranty
  • Manages warranty claims for sites under warranty
  • Works independently with occasional guidance
  • All other duties assigned

Job Requirements and Experience:
  • High school degree or equivalent required; Associate's or higher in business or technical preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience preferred in Material Management in SAP MM or similar maintenance system
  • Typical work hours are from 7-3:30 with potential to change dependent on workload
  • Expected travel 5-10 Weeks of the year and you may be required to fill in at multiple (nearby) worksites
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to interact effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel and departments, vendors and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Promote safety for all at all times
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes, familiar with Excel and able to become certified and maintain the ability to operate a forklift and become CPR and first aid certified. Minimum intermediate Office Suite computer skills and knowledge
  • Ability to research and correct invoicing issues, inventory discrepancies, and goods issue/goods receipt, be able to follow prepared work instructions, sourcing other parts with the aid of procurement and engineering
  • Adjust readily to changes in direction and work priorities while working efficiently to complete assigned tasks and achieve goals
