The Inventory Control Quality Assurance is responsible for tracking warehouse supplies and managing inventory to support production. This role works cross-functionally with QA, warehouse, production, and planning to ensure material availability, compliance, and data integrity.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Inventory Control Quality Assurance reports directly to the following:
QA Supervisor
DUTIES & RESPONSIBIITIES:

  1. Work closely with the warehouse, production, QA, QC, and planning departments to maintain accurate inventory.
  2. Release labels from quarantine in accordance with SOP requirements.
  3. Conduct daily reviews of raw materials, packaging components, and label allocations based on demand and MRP planning to ensure accurate purchasing for fulfilling sales orders.
  4. Assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  5. Communicate expired and near-expiry raw materials to warehouse for timely handling.
  6. Perform inventory adjustments for expired raw materials and components in accordance with established procedures
  7. Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, data entry, and documentation as required.
  8. Perform inventory adjustments in the inventory management system in accordance with approved procedures, including maintaining active and inactive items.
  9. Verify the accuracy and completeness of internal material transfers in the inventory management system.
  10. Support cycle counting procedures and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  11. Report issues to management, prepare reports, and complete documentation as required.
  12. Perform other projects and duties assigned by management.
  13. Follow and ensure compliance with SOPs, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard safety practices, and all company policies/procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor preferred; some college work required
  2. 2-3 years of work experience in an inventory control field
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, Bilingual Mandarin strongly preferred
  4. Good organizational skills with great attention to detail
  5. Working knowledge of general computer concepts
  6. Working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  7. Working knowledge of ERP or other inventory control software
  8. Must be able to work in warehouse environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to sit for extended hours
  2. Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
  3. Lifting up to 50lbs with assistance
  4. Other physical requirements include occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
