Job description

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for implementing the inventory plan for Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies. The Inventory Control Lead leads a team to conduct cycle counts, manage on-hand inventory and continuous improvement activities to ensure inventory accuracy.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in ERP system
  • Works with shop leads to implement policies, practices, and procedures to improve the control of inventory
  • Manage the Cycle Count program and ensure cycles are closed on schedule
  • Works with departments to resolve inventory variances
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and provide feedback on methods to improve inventory accuracy
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide corrective actions as required
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed to perform daily responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, train and audit inventory processes to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Assist other departments when necessary for business success
  • Maintain inventory metrics to measure the track the success of the inventory program
Education and/or Experience
  • Associateโ€™s degree or four yearsโ€™ experience working in inventory control

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Maintain a positive corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, integrity, and a constructive work environment.
