Job description

Agilix Solutions currently has an opening for a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) Associate at our St. Louis, MO Headquarters. As the VMI Associate, you will become the customerโ€™s first choice for the products and services they need to keep their workplaces safe, efficient, and functioning by leading the companyโ€™s efforts for assigned SupplyMaster Program (Agilixโ€™s vendor managed inventory solution) engagements and on-site customer service activities. Build strong internal and external partnerships to facilitate success, which will allow Agilix to effectively extend our reach into our customersโ€™ locations and provide superior service.

This role will report to the Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Communication & Sales Support: Collaborate with sales, customer service, and internal teams to understand customer needs, promote VMI solutions, and drive strategic sales growth through relationship-building and market insight.
  • Operational Duties: On-site inventory tasks including scanning, order entry, stocking, and data updates; ensure timely and accurate service delivery while supporting order expediting and vendor training initiatives.
  • Vehicle & Site Responsibilities: Conduct daily visits to multiple customer locations using a company vehicle; maintain vehicle condition and perform regular inspections while ensuring efficient and professional on-site service.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail, manufacturing, or industrial setting with inventory management knowledge. Familiarity with electrical, safety, or industrial distribution a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and relationship-building skills; adaptable to shifting priorities; detail-oriented; team player; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and inventory ERP systems. Must be able to communicate our value proposition.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid Class E/CDL with a clean driving record is required. Other skills would include customer service and support for outside sales, knowledge of vending solutions, and 5S practices.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time and move material.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
