Job Overview
1st Shift Full Time Lead Inventory Clerk
The 1st Shift Full Time Lead Inventory Clerk is responsible for all Warehouse Inventory Control Processes and accuracy of records management per Company Policies such as leading and assisting with the Physical Count Process and Inventory Reconciliation; conducting and assisting with investigating and if necessary, correcting all discovered discrepancies; ensuring all Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Requirements are achieved and communicate important viable information regarding the condition, trends, or processes impacting the ability to maintain adequate control of the Inventory with Warehouse Management and Operations. This role will provide feedback on performance, the direction of work to the assigned team, guidance, and support to the specific area of responsibility and, or team as designated by the Warehouse Manager, as well as assist in interviewing potential candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead, assist, and direct activities with the physical counts to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Assist in the research of discovered inventory discrepancies and ensure resolution if possible
  • Ensure all required inventory documentation and processes are completed, reviewed, and filed appropriately
  • Analyze Inventory information to determine trends and processes, which are impacting the control of the Inventory, and communicate findings to Warehouse Management and Operations
  • Train and lead Inventory Personnel and evaluate processes striving for continuous improvements
  • Communicate identified process improvements with warehouse management, operations, product supply planners, production facilities, and other departments
  • Perform other duties assigned by Warehouse Management including, but not limited to, pallet building when and if required
  • Support, lead and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines
  • Engage and develop teammates through effective on-the-job coaching and training
  • Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
  • Influence and advise management on performance management matters
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Extensive Knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and a high degree of proficiency in all Warehouse Systems (SAP)
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong PC Skills including Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint and the ability to prioritize tasks and assignments while promoting a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and delegate tasks to others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
  • Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen
  • Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages
  • Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled(Hot in summer, cold in winter) environment

  • Flexibility in Scheduling as Hours are subject to change with the demands of the business

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through 3 - 5 years of work experience
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack and Forklift
