Scott Electric Company has a current opening at our Springfield, OH branch for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Order Checker to join our electrical distribution team (Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM +OT).

Job Summary:

The Order Checker is responsible for verifying the accuracy of outgoing customer orders in an electrical wholesale distribution warehouse. This role ensures that all products, quantities, and documentation match sales orders before shipment, helping maintain high customer satisfaction and minimize returns or errors.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify picked orders against sales invoices, packing slips, or pick tickets
  • Confirm correct product descriptions, part numbers, quantities, and specifications (e.g., voltage, amperage, wire gauge, breaker type, etc.)
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or missing components before shipment
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation for delivery or customer pickup
  • Check special orders and backorders for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate discrepancies or shortages to warehouse staff and supervisors immediately
  • Assist in maintaining organized staging areas for outbound shipments
  • Follow all company safety procedures, especially when handling electrical materials and warehouse equipment
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or ERP software to confirm order accuracy
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience, preferably in electrical wholesale or industrial supply
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read invoices, part numbers, and product specifications
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Detail-oriented and organized

Preferred:
