**Summary:**
The Clamp Lift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment, primarily a sit-down and/or clamp forklift, to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse environment. This role may also include performing order filler or order checker duties as required.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
- Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
- Prepare products for shipment by pulling and ensuring accurate quantities and types of products are loaded.
- Efficiently perform picking duties to meet customer service standards.
- Load product from staging or storage areas into trailers.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain records and reports to ensure inventory control and security.
- Assist in physical inventories and conduct cycle counts as needed.
- Ensure proper stock rotation to maintain inventory freshness.
- Use RF scanning equipment to verify inventory accuracy.
- Report safety concerns and inventory discrepancies promptly to management.
- Complete inspection forms before operating equipment.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and general computer skills required.
**Job Related & Physical Requirements:**
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Minimum 3 months of forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per day.
- Capable of lifting and/or pulling up to 50 lbs without restrictions.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching required.
- Comfortable walking in a distribution center environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must obtain NFI forklift certification.
- Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and basic math skills required.
