Job description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Head Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of a residential apartment community by performing maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, and assisting with daily maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance service requests and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with daily maintenance operations and assignments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, supplies, and inventory.
  • Assist with coordinating and overseeing work performed by outside vendors and contractors, as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of residential property maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support and direction to other maintenance staff.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position.
