Job description

Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Full-time | Monday-Friday | 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, hours may fluctuate depending upon workload

Responsible for all aspects of inventory management, ensuring inventory accuracy, researching discrepancies, strategic inventory placement, replenishment, and following up with associates when errors are identified. The specialist will work closely with the warehouse manager on recommending process improvements and updating SOPs accordingly.

Warehouse Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of inventory control and SKU management experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and RF / Android-based scanning devices
  • Strong people skills
  • Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 lbs. safely
  • Comfortable with environmental conditions (e.g., heat/cold; noise and dust)
  • Comfortable with heights (20'-30')

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in a distribution warehouse
  • 1 year of previous stand-up forklift experience
  • Eclipse Warehouse Management System experience

Warehouse Inventory Specialist Duties

  • Responsible for accuracy of all in-bound shipments. Checks supplier's counts and reports discrepancies to carrier and supervisor
  • Maintains other shipping records such as returned merchandise, damage, discrepancies, etc.
  • Verify inventory levels through daily system cycle counts against physical counts
  • Replenish warehouse primary pick locations to capacity
  • Condense product to maximize warehouse density and pick efficiency
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse
  • Manage and maintain backorder reports
  • Process damages
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate receipt/shipment and appropriate handling of merchandise
  • Other duties as assigned by management
