Job description

Warehouse/Inventory Assistant

The Musco Specialty Manufacturing Team has an opening for a Warehouse/Inventory Assistant at our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on the control and distribution of manufacturing/assembly material. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

Essential Criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Electric fork truck experience a plus
  • Good typing and computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems
  • Technical understanding of product manufacturing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to assess what needs to be done and then implement plans to achieve required results

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Kanban levels as defined to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Notify Purchasing when inventory levels drop to zero or below specified minimum as set on each part
  • Unload and verify received parts & inventory counts and enter receipt entries Vantage software
  • Fulfill material requisitions as requested by Assembly
  • Coordinate movement of inventoried parts to maximize space
  • Verify weekly & monthly cycle counts of inventoried parts
  • Maintain first in, first out inventory procedures
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm, Overtime as required
