Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Inventory & Procurement Analyst to join our team. The Inventory & Procurement Analyst is responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Material Planners in the establishment and maintenance of planning parameters, including supplier lead time, minimum order quantities, and safety stock. Monitor settings to ensure effectiveness.
  • Extract data from operating systems for inventory- and procurement-focused analysis.
  • Analyze data, make recommendations, and facilitate the resolution of issues and implementation of process improvements.
  • Prepare, analyze, and publish department metrics.
  • Assist in the implementation of any materials management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations or similar.
  • Minimum two years' experience in an analytical role, in supply chain or operations. Experience in a distribution environment a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of Materials Management operational concepts: scheduling, procurement, and inventory control.
  • Advanced-level user of Excel, minimum of intermediate level in Access.
  • Certification such as CPIM or CSCP strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 and continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and JIT desirable.
