The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative II to join our Sales team. This is a step-up role for someone who already knows the world of customer service and is ready to hit the ground running. You’ll be the main point of contact for our dealers and customers — managing orders, working through warranty claims, supporting our Outside Sales Representatives, and making sure every customer interaction leaves a good impression. We want someone who brings proven experience, takes ownership, and is ready to grow with us.
What You’ll Do
- Be the voice of Inventive Group — answering calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Process and manage dealer and customer orders from entry through fulfillment, including quotes, pricing, and order updates.
- Work alongside Outside Sales Representatives to support existing accounts and help grow new ones within your territory.
- Handle warranty claims end-to-end: investigate, validate, communicate decisions, and keep accurate documentation.
- Manage returns and exchanges, and follow up on open orders, custom requests, and future-dated releases.
- Track customer activity through sales reports and help identify growth opportunities.
- Keep customer records accurate and up to date in our CRM.
- Stay current on our product lines so you can answer questions confidently and upsell where it makes sense.
- Participate in team meetings, Kaizen events, 5 Whys, and other continuous improvement activities.
- Sustain 6-S standards in your workspace and contribute to a culture of accountability and improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of customer service or client support experience, preferably in a manufacturing, wholesale, or dealer-channel environment.
- Strong communication skills — you’re comfortable on the phone, clear in writing, and easy to work with.
- Organized and detail-oriented; you can juggle multiple open orders and follow-ups without things falling through the cracks.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and able to learn CRM systems quickly.
- A problem-solver who doesn’t wait to be told what to do.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a company.
