Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R certification to support IR and vascular surgery procedures.
Job Details
• Work in an Interventional Radiology unit with 1 IR suite, 1 OR hybrid room, and 1 multi-purpose room,
• Support IR and Vascular surgeons across IR, ER, ICU, and OR settings,
• Adult to geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 15-20,
• Utilizes Epic and Pyxis systems,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM,
• Works every other weekend unless otherwise specified,
• May float within facility and scope of practice as needed,
• Call requirements include weeknights and weekends on a rotating basis,
Job Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required,
• BLS and ARRT-R certification required,
• ACLS, ARRT Advanced Certification, and ARRT-VI certifications preferred,
• Trauma Level I experience preferred,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Experience scrubbing and circulating a wide range of IR procedures,
• Proficient with Philips Flex Arm C-Arm and Siemens Artis Pheno C-Arm equipment,
• Skilled in venous access procedures including central lines, PICC lines, and port management,
• Experience with vascular studies and procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, and endovascular interventions,
• Knowledge of genitourinary and neurological IR procedures,
• First-time travelers are accepted,
• GA or Compact license required at time of consideration, if applicable,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, room circulation, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed,
• Performs a wide range of IR procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular interventions,
• Uses PACS system for imaging and documentation,
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration,
• Holiday coverage is required; if one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday time off can be requested, and if three major holidays occur, the traveler may work two with the possibility of one holiday off,
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate,
• Sterile technique and infection control practices are required in this role
